Terms of Use
What using Thumbprojects means
By reading Thumbprojects you accept that its guides on construction, urban planning and home improvement are offered on the basis set out here. Browsing, quoting and sharing are welcome within these terms. Questions can go to [email protected].
Information, not professional advice
Articles are general information and opinion. They are not engineering, architectural, legal or planning advice, and they do not replace a qualified builder, structural engineer, electrician, gas engineer or your local building authority. Codes, permit rules and zoning differ between places and change over time, so check what applies to your property before starting work. Structural changes, wiring, gas, roofing and work at height carry real risk of injury and damage, so follow manufacturer instructions and hire a licensed professional where the law or common sense calls for one. Cost and time estimates are illustrations, not quotes.
Who owns the content
The writing, layout and original graphics belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may read the pages, quote brief passages with a clear credit and share links. Copying full articles, republishing them or using them for commercial purposes requires written permission from the operator.
Use of the site
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, flood the site with automated requests, introduce harmful code or use it to send spam. Anything that breaks the law, such as harvesting readers’ details or posting defamatory claims about a builder or council, is off limits. The operator may block a visitor whose activity threatens the stability of the site.
What you send us
If you submit a correction, question or topic idea, you confirm you may share it. You allow us to read it and use it to improve the site, with no obligation to reply or publish.
Advertising, affiliate links and outside sites
Thumbprojects may show advertising and may include affiliate links, for example to tools, building materials or home improvement retailers, which can earn the operator a commission at no added cost to you. A commission link has no say in what an article recommends or warns against. Pages you reach that way, whether a supplier, a council planning portal, a standards body or a contractor directory, sit outside our control. Before relying on a product specification, a permit rule or a contractor’s claim found there, check it against the original source.
Warranties and liability
Thumbprojects is offered in its current state, without a promise that every page will always be available. As far as the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from using the site or relying on a guide, including losses from a building or renovation project. Nothing here removes rights you hold by law that cannot be waived or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and severability
Articles, features and these terms will be revised from time to time as building rules and the site evolve, and the revised wording applies from the moment it appears here. If part of them is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
